The Kogi State government has offered Jemilu Akpah, a physically challenged corps member, automatic employment.
At the Batch B Stream, I corps members' passing out parade ceremony on Thursday in Lokoja, he received the job offer.
Along with Mary Aimuan from Edo State, who received the esteemed NYSC State Merit Award, Jemilu Akpah received automatic employment.
The guaranteed employment provided to the corps members, according to state governor Yahaya Bello, was an appreciation of their contributions to their host towns.
For the transportation of 725 corps members to their various states, the governor also approved the release of N7.25 million.
He said each corps member would get N10,000 as support for their transportation back to their various destinations.
The governor appreciated them for their contributions to the state during the service year.
"Your unique efforts in Primary Health Care delivery services, the provision of high-quality education and rural infrastructure, and advocacy in Sustainable Development Goals were crucial in developing and promoting the government's transformation program," he added.
"Your deployment to different communities must have won you over to their customs and traditions and as a result enlarged your view and knowledge of the imperatives of a unified Nigeria,"
